International Flights
International flights are the fastest way to get around the country. Namibia has around 300 airports. All most all destinations are within two hours' flying time from each other.
Rail Roads
Few tourists will use the Namibian railway service, called TransNamib, becuase it is slow and has few centers of interest to visitors. The passenger trains that do run are very cheap and have comfortable airline-style seats in air-conditioned passenger sections. Videos can be shown and there are vending machines with snacks and drinks. Most cars depart in the early evening and arrive at their destination the following morning.
Buses
Namibia's long-distance buses are usually more comfortable, but somewhat more expensive and much quicker than the trains, but are very limited in terms of destinations.
Cars
If you plan on staying in the country for a while, buying your own car may be a good option. With the dry climate, most cars won't get that much rust but, with the great distances to be travelled and the rough gravel roads, young cars may be a little "tired" and scratched.
